After graduating his studies at V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory and the Leningrad (recently Saint Petersburg) Conservatory in 1989, George Jordania continued his education in the United States. Under the tutelage of his father - the famous conductor Vakhtang Jordania, he completed his Master's Degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
During his study at University he worked as an assistant of a conductor, started to conduct himself numerous symphony concerts. On July 4th 1990, he made his professional American debut with the Chattanooga Symphony in front of 30 000 people. In 1995, his debut with the Russian Federal Orchestra in Moscow was hailed as a great success. This was the beginning of his international recognition. He was invited to appear with orchestras in Denver, Colorado, Phoenix, Arizona, with the Cape Town Philharmonic in South Africa, Daegu City symphony in South Korea, Romanian Radio Orchestra in Bucharest and etc.
In 1999-2003 Giorgi Jordania was a Chief Conductor of the Georgian State Chamber Orchestra. In April 2000 Giorgi Jordania conducted a tour named "Pilgrimage from Europe to Jerusalem", visiting and playing concerts in Europe’s major cities with the final concert on Good Friday at the Dormition Church in Jerusalem. After that he collaborated with GSCO and with well-known violinist, L. Issakadze and started his tour in Europe, appearing in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. They also performed charitable concerts in cities of Georgia, and for the Georgian community in Paris and Leville, France. In 2000 together with L. Issakadze he founded Borjomi Chamber Music Festival in Georgia, where he was a Chief Conductor until 2003. In 2001, Jordania became the First Prize Laureate and the winner of the Grand-Prix of the "New Millennium first International Competition of Conductors" held in Kharkov, Ukraine. "He easily bends the musicians of the orchestra to his intentions and thus leads."- Kharkov. The same year he became a Laureate of the prestigious "State Prize of Georgia".
Starting from 2002 he regularly participates in various competitions. In 2005 in Ukraine and in 2006 in USA he was a member of jury at Vakhtang Jordania International Conducting Competition. In 2008 he founded another festival – Tbilisi Easter Art festival and became its Artistic Director and General Manager. In 2013-2014, Giorgi Jordania was as an Artistic Director of Tbilisi State Academic Theatre of Opera
